Due to the most recent health order issued by Contra Costa County, the following facilities and amenities will be impacted. Please observe physical distance when utilizing parks, trails, and open space!

Park areas and picnic rentals are available for reservation through the Parks and Recreation Department.  To reserve a park area, complete and submit the corresponding reservation form to the Parks and Recreation Department with payment. Completed forms and payments can be submitted via email, U.S. mail, or in person.  Reservations are not confirmed until you receive a receipt and confirmation.  To check the availability of a park area, please click here.  Areas not reserved area available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Commons Park

The park offers picnic areas, skate park, tot lot, youth playground, swings, a spray feature, sand volleyball, horseshoes, bocce ball, and half court basketball, along with lots of room to relax under shade trees. The reserved group picnic area, located near the band shell is available for rent and accommodates up to 85 persons.

The water spray feature is operating daily beginning June 1:  9:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Rancho Laguna Park

2101 Camino Pablo, Moraga

This park is set in the midst of rolling hills at the outskirts of town and has tot lots, swings, picnic areas, an amphitheater and large lawn all set among the trees. There is a group picnic area which accommodates 200 persons available for rent. Parking is limited.  Call for availability.

Rancho Laguna Park is authorized as an off leash dog run area:

April 1 to September 30: Park opening to 9:00 am and 6:00 pm to park closing.
October 1 to March 31 park opening to 9:00 am and 4:00 pm to park closing.



Moraga Commons Band Shell

1425 St. Mary’s Road, Moraga

Band Shell opens to a large hillside where ample seating is available on the lawn. The band shell is available for rent and comes with the reserved group picnic area. There is an enclosed wing which is used as a concession stand during the annual free Summer Concerts offered through the Parks and Recreation Department and funded by the Moraga Park Foundation.  Call for availability.

Off Leash Dog Parks

Dogs are permitted off-leash at Rancho Laguna Park during specified hours and at Mulholland Ridge Open Space Preserve.  Details are available here.
